Account Director

Type: Full-time

Vectr Solutions needs to accelerate sales growth moving into 2026. To do this, the growth and customer retention of our enterprise accounts requires dedicated sales efforts.  The Account Director role is designed to focus on winning new business, driving pipeline, and building trust and strong relationships with our enterprise key customers.

Each of the following areas of the Account Director role are directly aligned to a company goal.

Business Development

The primary focus and efforts for the Account Director role should be on revenue generating activities that expand our sales efforts and outcomes.

The following responsibilities will be measured through:

  • Closed Sales tracked within Salesforce for assigned accounts
  • Recognized Revenue tracked within Quickbooks for assigned accounts
  • Pipeline tracked within Salesforce for assigned accounts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth, upselling additional services, and fostering long-term partnerships.
    • Expand existing relationships within current customer accounts
    • Source new opportunities within current customer accounts
    • Maintain accurate account plan and stakeholder map for all key accounts and review quarterly with account teams
    • Create and pursue opportunities in Salesforce for key accounts and review during weekly BD calls
    • Engage Salesforce license team to plan and co-sell within key accounts
    • Create detailed account plans to facilitate the attainment of annual goals and quotas
  • Lead Generation: 
    • Engage prospective and current customers at conferences
    • Support conference preparation activities
    • Refer prospective customers to Vectr Solutions
    • Source new opportunities to Vectr Solutions
  • Co-Selling: 
    • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to identify potential new clients and market trends.; Partner with Account Management, Marketing, Sales Engineering, and the CEO to continually take advantage of new market opportunities; Partner with Coastal Business Unit Leadership throughout the sales process in order to align business development efforts with project delivery.
    • Tightly partner with the Salesforce Sales and Customer Success organizations including Core AEs & SEs; Engage with Salesforce RVPs and AEs to partner on new opportunities, drive new projects, and become a trusted partner.
  • Sales Operations: Manage sales activities, including lead follow-up, tasks, pipeline, and forecasting in Salesforce. Ensure all Salesforce records owned by you are accurate and reflect the latest updates on a weekly basis, at minimum.
  • Sales Engineering: 
    • Present products and services to prospective customers that align directly to their organizational goals and objectives
    • Work with your team to create estimates aligned with the customer requirements, expectations, and agreed upon deliverables.
    • Create and deliver SOWs in line with the Vectr Solutions methodology accounting for project scope and objectives, requirements, professional fees, and project specific assumptions.
  • General:
    • Demonstrate the ability & desire to personally unearth net new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails & networking and turn them into long term partnerships
    • Travel as needed to support the sales cycles to close business
  • Marketing: 
    • Contribute to Vectr Solutions assets, including the website, documents, blogs and videos
    • Participate in Vectr Solutions marketing initiatives, including webinars
  • Public Sector Growth: 
    • Develop a workflow process for public sector solicitation responses
    • Set up a proposal repository for public sector solicitation responses
    • Oversee public sector solicitation response workflow
    • Support public sector sales strategy
  • Tableau Practice Growth
    • Co-develop go to market strategy for Tableau solution offerings
    • Build a pipeline of Tableau opportunities
    • Serve as Tableau SME to support estimation and enablement
    • Cultivate relationships with Tableau Salesforce AEs 
  • Sales Support:
    • Draft and finalize proposals and Statements of Work
    • Work with customer to complete contracting and procurement process
    • Participate in introductory and discovery calls
    • Build bottoms up pricing model for estimation
    • Supports RFP writing
    • Collaborate with Salesforce license team to co-sell Salesforce licenses and services

Client Relationship Management & Account Growth

Key goals for our company are to 1) maintain a 4.8+ CSAT score for all customer satisfaction surveys and 2) grow our enterprise key accounts by at least 30% each year.  

The following responsibilities will be measured through:

  • Account Plan Completion, Accuracy and Relationship Mapping
  • Quarter Business Reviews to discuss revenue realization, account margin and pipeline

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, addressing concerns, and providing strategic guidance to optimize service delivery.
  • Manage the entire customer relationship lifecycle from finding a prospect to securing a business contract to helping our delivery team successfully complete the project.
  • Lead compelling discovery conversations that uncover prospect’s business goals and objectives as they relate to specific technical initiatives Vectr Solutions can deliver.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the relationships and customers’ dedication and long term success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at assigned client accounts. Own relationship map within Salesforce to manage relationship strength and areas of opportunity.  
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, translate them into Salesforce solutions, and ensure alignment with company capabilities. Track these insights within Salesforce and the related account plan.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for assigned accounts, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion of services.

Delivery Oversight

In addition to the key goals outlined in the previous section, Vectr Solutions needs to maintain a high-quality reputation for delivery with our sales partners and customers.  This means that our Account Directors need to ensure that all projects delivered for their designated accounts are completed on time and budget. 

The following responsibilities will be measured through:

  • Quarter Business Reviews to discuss revenue realization, account margin and pipeline
  • Project Status completion, accuracy and quality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of services, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and ensure that all deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
  • Manage the portfolio of Salesforce projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership

To maintain our company growth and scale our talent, all members of the Leadership team are responsible for coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement of our broader team. Company goals aligned to this area include 1) certifications 2) delivery and consulting best practices and 2) utilization.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement mechanisms to collect feedback from clients and team members to continuously improve service delivery and operational efficiency. 
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation and motivation within the company and portfolio teams, exploring new Salesforce features, tools, and methodologies to enhance service offerings.
  • Enablement: Mentor and support training and development for junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Recruitment: Recruit, mentor, and retain a skilled team of Salesforce professionals, including developers, administrators, and consultants.

General: Serve as a leader in acquiring and maintaining Salesforce certifications aligned to company goals and strategy.
